So you asked what helped me most prepare for a mission. Answer: Honestly, what prepared me for my mission was my faith in Christ and trying to have humility. Had I been super prideful I would have come home a long time ago. I also had a firm faith that Christ is the the Son of God. I was not prepared to read and study the scriptures everyday, I was not prepared to walk a ton everyday, I was not prepared to teach and talk to people openly about my beliefs. I honestly was not ready to take on everything a mission offers but because I was taught to never give up by my parents and coaches, that is why I´m here today and why I will finish out.  It's hard but you always told me it would be so when it came I just knew you had been right.  My testimony has grown and I have changed in many ways I didn't think about but really everything is in the Lord's hands and I am fine to trust in him.  Thanks mom I love you.

First off Happy Birthday today to the best mom ever. I will be home for all the rest ok.
Nobody has given me a cake this year but I also haven´t been telling many people it´s my birthday cause it´s not about me, I´m busy on the Lord´s time. I just haven´t felt any desire to tell anyone except my pensionista and my companions. Mission of Miracles is the name of our mission here in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. It is completely true too. Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes and letters. I love each and everyone of you and I am hoping to finish strong here with many more Miracles. Continue faithful in the Gospel and if we are found doing the Lord´s work in the last day we will be exalted on high. Hope everyone has an amazing week in the "work" that you are doing.

Teaching story: As we were teaching a family, Marcelo (returned missionary) is an active member that has slightly stopped coming to church, his niece and his sister, I had an impression to read in 2 Nephi 28 about how we can´t think that "all is well in Zion". I also read a scripture in Mosiah 4 about there are many many ways to sin, which I then changed to say there are many ways we can forget the Lord. As I finished Marcelo spoke up and said that what I had said was true and that as I was speaking he began to reflect and realized that he had many things to change in his life. It made me feel good that I could see fruits in the moment that I had planted. Marcelo came to church yesterday too.

I am still here in Las Americas. Elder Viscafé, my comp from La Paz, left. He´s in a new area now. I am with Elder Galan. Guess where he´s from!!?!?!!ok he´s from Spain, Madrid.   I just met a Sister here and she is Bolivian but she lives in Highland with her husband and kids. Her son just got back from a mission in Chiuaua, Mexico. Her name is Cristina Rolapp. She´s going back to the States like the 10th or so. I told her that you guys should be friends. Sister Rolapp told me that she can bring some stuff from me to you guys. I might be sending some things but I don´t know what yet.
Just to let you know, I will not be writing this next week. Carnaval is coming again and we´ll be in the house from Sunday to Tueday. I will write on the 15th.  Have a good week.

Hi guys, just wanted to write you a quick note saying that God couldn´t have done a better job. He gave me you. I am so grateful for my life and I love being in the mission. Some weeks feel tougher than others, sometimes I see more bad than good, sometimes I get angry but I will always be happy for the decision I made to come to Earth and be your son. Love you  Kalen
